Taylor Jean Skromme, age 22 of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Prophetstown, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Palm Coast, Florida, doing what she loved, riding motorcycles with her friends.
Taylor was born on November 10, 1999 in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Tad and Stephanie (Sandrock) Skromme. She graduated Prophetstown High School, Class of 2018. Taylor went to Southern Illinois University where she earned her degree in 2020 and became a Physical Therapist Assistant. She worked at Cora Physical Therapy in Nocatee, Florida.
Taylor had a zest for life. She was always meeting new people and wanting to try new things. She had a passion for horses, motorcycles, motorcycle racing, and barrel racing. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Taylor loved her two horses, Ace and Nova and her rodeo dog, Faith, but most of all, she loved her family and friends dearly. She truly lived her life to the fullest.
Survivors include, her parents, Tad and Stephanie Skromme of Prophetstown; her brother, Kyle Skromme of Prophetstown; maternal grandmother, Donna Courtney of Prophetstown; paternal grandfather, Ronald Sandrock of Dixon; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Skromme of Prophetstown; uncle, Ron (Dede) Sandrock, Jr of Rock Falls; aunt, Heather Vahle of Moline; cousins, Austin Sandrock, Max Vahle and Mackenzie Vahle; and her boyfriend, Devin Bouley of Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Roger Skromme.
