Elsie Conway

CONWAY-Elsie Conway, age 94, of La Mirada, CA, passed away at her home, Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at 10:40a.m. She was born in Mariba, Kentucky on March 8, 1914, the daughter of James and Mary (Fox) Simpkins. She retired from the housekeeping department at St. Francis Hospital in 1979, after 16 yrs. of service. She is survived by her children, Herbert Conway, Hershel Conway (Sharon), Geneva Timms (Edward) and daughter-in-law Janice Conway, six grand children, Randy Conway, Shea Conway (Lorie), Lance Conway, Ray Conway (Lori), Jill Wolfslau (David), Christine Humphries (John) and one great grandson, Michael Wolfslau. She is preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings, Arnold Simpkins, Inez Ratliff, Lloyd Simpkins, Callie Simpkins and Junior Simpkins. Elsie's family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospital/Hospice for their assistance in making her last days at home comfortable. Funeral service will be held at Florence Ave. Foursquare Church, Sant a Fe Springs, CA, Thursday, December 18, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hills.
