Ernesto "Neto" Avalos

My heart is truly saddened to learn this. The last time I saw you was at Ma´s funeral services. I hadn´t seen you in years so you didn´t recognize who I was when I shook your hand. I should´ve told you that I was Neto instead of Ernie. Hell, you didn´t know who Ernie was! I spoke with you over the phone sometime after that. Although I don´t remember the whole conversation, the end was one of "later" instead of "bye". I liked that. As when I was a kid, that day at the church you still had this presence about you that was sometimes overwhelming to me. I used to think you were mean and stern to me because you didn´t like me. As I grew older I realized you treated the rest of our brothers and sisters the same which meant that that was your way of showing love, care and concern. You were looking out for me. You were awesome to look up to. The memories that you bring up in my mind are many. Some good and some not so good but there was a lesson to be learned from all that and I would like to think that I absorbed those in my life. The memories of you are coming back to me as I write this. I apologize for just now learning about your passing. Just know that I wrote this as soon as I could! You´ve had a place in my up-brining Oscar. Thank you.

I will always remember you! You were my favorite patient at ranch los amigos hospital. We had fun times there; and you watched my Porsche for me parked across the street from your window! Thank you for that! I dont have it anymore and now dont have you to talk to anymore. Nothing lasts forever! All we have now are beautiful memories of each other! Rest In Peace now. No more suffering and will always miss you forever and ever! God bless you and your family! Love you always❤
