Robert Michael Reed

REED-Robert Michael Reed, age 54, passed away on July 10, 2006. A life-long resident of California, Robert was born in Huntington Park, California on August 11, 1951. Robert joined cub scouts at age 8 and continued to be an active participant in scouting, earning the rank of Eagle Scout at age 17. He devoted his life to serving in the Boy Scouts of America. While serving as scoutmaster at various times in his life, he assisted over 100 young men i n obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. He was presented the Silver Beaver, one of the highest service awards in the United States given by BSA as an adult. An enthusiastic scouter all his life, he was serving as troop committee chairman for Troop 286 in the Inland Empire Council at the time of his passing. His is survived by his wife Mary, sister Patricia Schweizer, sons Robert, Ross, Raymond, Roland, and Ryan, daughters Jill and Laura, and eleven grandchildren.
