Robert Bowley

Robert (Bob) Everett Bowley, 81 of Rialto, CA, died after a short illness on Dec. 8, 2012 in San Bernardino, CA at the St. Bernardines Hospital. Bob was born to the late Charles Bowley and Eurania (Locke) Bowley on June 18, 1931 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He worked as a machine operator for many years for the Flexaust Manufacturing Company in Amesbury, MA. Working for the same company, he transferred to California to operate a plant in the Sacramento area. He later moved south to the Ontario/Rialto area to continue his work. After retiring from the company, he continued to work as a security officer for 20 years. Bob was a former member of the Market Street Baptist Church in Amesbury, MA where he was baptized, and served as a Deacon for many years. Bob had many interests over the years including watching televised wrestling and bowling, competing in bowling leagues, playing cards, traveling to new places, and visiting family members. Bob is survived by his spouse, Dixiean Lee (Strong) Bowley , two daughters, Patricia (Bowley) Hall of Cape Coral, FL and Debra (Bowley) Boudreau of East Kingston, NH, three stepchildren, Herbert Morrill of Amesbury, MA, Virginia Weaver of Amesbury, MA, and Beverly Chapinski of Salisbury, MA, two prior wives, Janet (Palmer) Bowley and Nellie Bowley (preceded in death). Bob also leaves one surviving brother Elmer Bowley, and three sisters, Jean Cunningham of Kingston NH, Nancy Jackman, of Plaistow NH, and Shirley Yount of Cape Coral, FL. Also preceding Bob in death is one sister, Elsie Gauthier, a brother Fred Bowley and a brother Richard Bowley. For many years, Bob enjoyed the love of his 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
