BRENDA INGRAM Obituary

Brenda Vanessa Ingram, 53, of Brownsville, Texas, went to be with The Lord on March 4, 2014 after a valiant fight with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda was born to the late Pablo Infante and Fidela Gorena-Vera.

She graduated from Hanna High School in 1975 and married William "Bill" Ingram on June 23, 1993. She and Bill shared their love for each other and the Lord for over 23 years.

Brenda was a small business owner of Honey's Snacks and was also a substitute teacher for St. Joseph Academy. One of her passions in life was making a difference in the lives of her students. Honey, as many knew her, loved God, her family and friends, and had an extra special place in her heart for her animals. She left her mark on this world and everyone who knew her.

Brenda was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate to have known her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Pablo Infante; her sister-in-law, Polly Anne Infante; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Brenda is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Ingram; her children, Tricia (Ryan) Lopez and Brian (Ashley) Ingram, and a grandson, Liam Ingram. She is also survived by her mother, Fidela (David) Gorena-Vera, her siblings: Lina (Joel) Salinger, Paul (Nina) Infante, and David (Laura) Infante; her nieces and nephews: Sabrina (Josh) Langhorst, Joey Infante, Jacob "Jake", Sarah, Mia, and James Infante, and Miles and Blake Fowkes; a great-nephew, Aiden Langhorst; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, March 6, 2014, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

The funeral service celebrating Brenda's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser.

Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Paul and David Infante, Josh Langhorst, Miles Fowkes, A. Roy Gonzalez, and Bobby Torres are honored to be serving as Brenda's pallbearers.

Joel Salinger and Robert "Sonny" Zavaleta will serve as honorary pallbearers.

To the Ingram and Infante Families:
I remembered Brenda when she was managing Gulf Gas Station. Located at the corner of Central Blvd. and FM 802 (Ruben Torres Blvd.) I was a bank teller (formerly Texas Bank & Trust) which is now BBVA Compass Bank. Brenda would bring her deposit(s) daily. She was always "Happy", with a beautiful smile! I'm sadden for YOUR LOSS!
I remembered seeing Brenda about a month and half or so at the Vermillion. She looked Amazing like Always! May the GOD Of PEACE through HIS SON JESUS CHRIST Bring the Families Comfort, Strength to Carry On, AMEN!
Sincerely, George M. Garcia Born and raised in Brownsville.

To the Ingram, Infante Family, et el.
Brenda was a childhood and high school friend and her father was our neighborhood DPS man when the DPS office was off Los Ebanos. My entire family have fond memories of Brenda and her family and are saddened to hear of her passing.
So much time has passed and most of us have moved elsewhere but we have never forgotten our Brownsville friends.
I last saw Brenda several years ago and we reminisced about our days hanging out on the streets (back when we could) our high school activities of which were numerous and the absolute fun we had.
Indeed, Brenda was loved and will be missed.
God Bless you all at this difficult time.
Brenda's legacy will live on in all who were fortunate to have made her acquaintance or blessed to have been her friend.
