Sorry for your loss you can draw much comfort from the bible at Hosea 13:14

On behalf of CFFA I send our condolences. Neil was a true gentleman and a man for all seasons! We had numerous interesting conversations about so many subjects. I vividly remember a show he did for our club about his fishing trip to Idaho. He packed into the wilderness on horseback. We were fortunate to share Neil briefly. Sincerely Gary Bogli former president of CFFA

Neil was a good friend to the fly fishing community.

Neil was the CFFA Membership Chairman for two terms, Apr 89 May 90, and Oct 92 May 93, in Gary Bogli's and Larry Johnson's presidencies.

Neil presented a program, Fishing in Idaho, to the CFFA in Dec 89. The program summary is below:

Neil Bantly's presentation will take you to the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area in Central Idaho where he traveled by horse and pack mule along 15 miles of Big Creek.

This undiscovered National Wilderness area is one of the few places remaining where you can fish all day and not meet another fisherman. Primarily a native cutthroat stream, Neil caught and released 40 to 50 fish a day, including Dolly Varden, Whitefish, and Cutthroat up to 16 inches.

Neil was a nice, gentle person who contributed significantly to CFFA.

My condolences,

Mike Stewart on behalf of the Connecticut Fly Fishermen's Association

Janet, We were saddened to read of Neil's passing on our arrival home yesterday. He will be missed. Life has not been the same for me since Neil was unable to meet for our weekly pool games and talk sessions. Sad indeed. Jules and Penny Corn
