Paul Collins Obituary

Paul Frazier Collins, 74, of West Chatham passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, with his loving family by his side. Paul was born April 2, 1940, in Quincy. He grew up in Braintree and was a graduate of Braintree High School. He served his apprenticeship with Bethlehem Steel Co. and General Dynamics, Quincy. He was the owner and founder of Collins Heating & Cooling, Inc., in Weymouth. What Paul enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren, watching all their baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, crew, and volleyball games. He was an integral part of their lives. He enjoyed playing golf, swimming at Hardings Beach, his Tin Man boat, skiing with the family, traveling, and conversations with friends. He taught his family how to be the best person you can be in life and to live each day to the fullest. He was a former member of the Braintree Lions Club, Wentworth Golf Club, Jackson, N.H., and North Conway Golf Club, North Conway, N.H., and he was a current member of Chatham Seaside Links, Chatham, Holly Ridge Golf Club, Sandwich, The Gang of Thirty-two golf league. He leaves his loving wife, Judy (Cassoli) Collins of 51 years; a son, Scott and his wife Paula, and grandchildren, Leigh and Andrew of Cohasset; a daughter, Lynne Adams and husband Paul, and grandchildren, Gavin, Ross and Carly of Wrentham; brothers, Thomas Collins and late wife Maxine of Westfield, James Collins and wife Maureen of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Jayne and husband Larry Callahan of Weymouth, Claire and husband James Neil of Quincy; his brother-in-law, Robert McCarthy and late wife Beverly (Cassoli) of Mashpee. Also he is survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Avenue, Chatham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Cape Cod, 434 Route 134, Suite D-3, South Dennis, MA 02660.
