Elizabeth Donahue Obituary

Elizabeth A. Betsy (Morrill) Donahue, 68, lost her courageous two year battle with cancer on March 2, 2015. A lifelong resident of Natick, Betsy was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary (Davey) Morrill. She was a graduate of St. Patricks Grammar School and Natick High School (class of 1964). Beloved wife of 42 years of Michael E. Donahue, devoted mother of Joseph A. Donahue & his wife Annette of Marlborough, Timothy E. Donahue of Natick, and Patrick M. Donahue of Natick. Sister of Mary Theresa and her husband Glen Beaupre of Thornton, NH, Paul Morrill and his wife Barbara of Hyde Park, Kathleen DiBenedetto of Otisfield, ME, Janet Boudreau and her husband Rick of S. Dennis, Patricia Freeman and her husband Ron of Republic, MO, Margaret Bigelow of Natick, James Morrill and his wife Kelsa of Canton, and Helen Morrill of Hopedale. Goddaughter and niece of John Davey of N. Hampton, NH. Betsy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Betsy worked as a legal secretary for various law firms in Boston, as well as the secretary for the Natick and Ashland Finance Committees. Betsy was very active in Cub Scout Pack 49 and the Johnson Elementary School in Natick. A funeral mass will be held on March 13, 2015 at 10:00 at St. Patricks Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be held later at the familys convenience. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Betsys memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284) to support cancer research and patient care.
