To the Dziama Family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Greg's passing. I was a teammate @ BC and fellow linebacker BC' 74. Greg was a calming influence, dedicated and very supportive of his teammates. I was happy to get to see him a few years back at a BC football alumni outing. My deepest condolences on his passing.

Jeannie and family, I don"t think I ever met a gentleman such as Gregg was. He was friendly, honest, caring, and always had a good word, and a fist pump every time we met, especially at Golds Gym. Whenever we talked, I always asked how you and the kids were, and was always answered first with a smile, and then with words of love for all of you. It was a pleasure when going to St. Linus for Mass to se Gregg and the kids there. I hope it will be a condolence knowing that Gregg had a strong belief in God. That belief has now been realized when Gregg met Jesus face to face last week. Know that you will all be together some day, and that Gregg is watching over you and your family. Greg was a kind, generous, thoughtful and very interesting man. I always enjoyed speaking with him as I was placing my order. I delighted in seeing the pictures of his family and the growth of his younger children. When I heard the news of his passing today I felt a deep loss. You will be missed Gregg. You will always fill our minds and hearts with memories of your kindness, goodness, and generosity. You were a man who loved his family and was proud of all of your children and spoke of this often. I have had the pleasure and honor of watching many hockey games with Gregg at my side. Although we've only been friends for the past 5 years it feels like I've known him my entire life. His calm and positive demeanor was remarkable and his ability to see sunshine through the rain will be missed. Although he has accomplished much in life, his greatest 'WIN' is that he was a fantastic father who produced quality, upstanding children that are admired by their peers. Good job my friend, I'll do my best with out you and you'll be an inspiration forever!

It's been many years since I had seen Mr. Dziama, but I will never forget the many soccer games where I would look to the sidelines and see him proudly smiling at Taylor and cheering for all of us. So u never got me to drink those carrots & i know i drove you crazy but we sure had alot of laughs & shared good & bad times..im so sorry for your children who u loved all so much!!! I am so sorry to learn of Gregg's passing. As a woman who occasionally bought produce at the Market when my husband Wally was unable to, I bought from Gregg at Dziama Produce - he made me feel comfortable in a predominantly man's world at the Market. Many at Boston College remember Gregg fondly, as I do. My fondest memory of him is wrapped up in the the legacy he leaves behind in the person of his son, Justin. Justin is a warm, thoughtful, generous, hard working, and ethical human being. He's a truly good person in every way; and truly good persons don't just happen. They are raised by truly good mothers and fathers--a father like Gregg Dziama.

Very sad news . . . Our family spent a lot of time with Gregg and Jeannie's family, especially when the kids were younger. We still were getting the families together every year on Christmas Eve day bowling at Kings in Boston (Gregg's idea). He was a quiet and generous guy – bringing cider, flowers and gifts everywhere he went and always pitching in to help clean up after a party. He was also an extremely hardworking guy, once telling me, “when I figured out I could make a good living only working 5 days a week, I felt like I was on vacation 52 weeks a year.”
He will be missed.

My remembrances of Gregg are from long ago. We were the king and queen of the baby photos classmates brought in to our fifth grade class at Brown School. On Facebook classmates from NHS are remembering him as a stand-up guy, always nice to everyone. I can understand all the positive comments made of him in his adult years. May fond memories comfort his family and all others at this sad time.
