The world was a much better place with Bob in it. I think of Bob often.

I worked for Bob, reporting to him, at Digital for over 10 years. He was by far the best manager I ever had. He taught me so much and treated me so well. I think of him often. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I worked for Digital and had privilege to work in Bob Savell's organization in 1985. Bob made an impression I hold onto even today. To this day when starting a new challenge I recognize the importance of listening to those I work with and where they came from. He always asked about my wife, children by name when we had a moment at the watercooller. Bob after one brief meeting had my attention. Many brilliant people at DEC but Bob was a really special leader and kindly made a lifelong memory for me.
I'm very sorry for your loss..our loss. May he rest peacefully.
