Claire Brown Obituary

Claire W. Brown, 92, long-time resident of Wenham, and most recently of Brooksby Village, died peacefully on July 1, 2014. Beloved mother of Christine A. Brown of Cambridge; and loving aunt to Katherine Carleton of Merrimac and Elizabeth Nelson of Ipswich. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Egbert. She was a graduate of Tufts Universitys Boston School of Occupational Therapy and for many years was the Director of Occupational Therapy at Danvers State Hospital. In her retirement, Claire was a dedicated volunteer at the Wenham Museum. Her life was full of travel, gardening and the many friends whose lives she touched. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Claire Brown to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
