Donald Blohowiak Obituary

Blohowiak, Donald M.

Donald M. Blohowiak, 52, Green Bay, died Saturday morning, June 15, 2013, after enduring many health issues, including diabetes, for many years.

He was born October 4, 1960, to Arvilla (Saindon) and the late Al Blohowiak in Green Bay. He graduated from Preble High School in 1979. Donald married his best friend, Julie Lindsley, on December 11, 1982, in Mineral Wells, Texas. They lived there together for six years with Don working as a Logging Engineer in the oil field before returning to Green Bay to start a masonry apprenticeship. He was a member of Mason Union Local #3 for 25 years and was currently co-owner of Five Star Masonry.

Donald had a great love of nature. He was an awesome fisherman and bow hunter, spending countless hours on the water and in his tree stand, feeling most at home "out of doors." Donald and Julie also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in the woods they built just two years ago -- his gift to her for when he passed on. He will also be remembered for being proud of his vegetable garden, especially his beautiful tomato plants.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, "Jules"; his border collie, Luke, who was always by his side; his mother, Arvilla Blohowiak; two brothers, Dan Blohowiak, Granbury, TX; Dave Blohowiak, Suamico; one sister Mary, Allen, TX; aunts; cousins; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Evelyn Lindsley; three brothers-in-law, Jim (Kim) Lindsley, Bob (Kathy) Zahn, Joe Johnson; one sister-in-law, Sharon Lindsley. Donald was "Uncle Donny" even to those not truly related. Donald was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bernard Lindsley; sister-in-law, Mary Johnson and a niece Tanya Roggenbuck.

In respecting Donald's wishes, a private celebration of his life and spreading of his ashes will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

Donald's wife Julie would like to thank all their close family and friends for all their love and support, and Sister Helen Keyzer for all her comfort and prayers.
