E. Paulitz Obituary

E. Ruth Paulitz, 82, wife of Frederick P. Paulitz of North Ridge Road, Ipswich, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 following a long battle with Alzheimers. She is now dancing and playing cards with the Angels. Born in New Castle, PA October 29, 1930 she was the daughter of the late William Frederick Cody and Rhea Belle (Bentley) Minner. The last surviving Minner of her generation having been preceded in death by her siblings: Walter, Bill, Margaret, Edna Mae, Shirley Jean and Bob.She grew up in New Castle having worked briefly for Ma Bell in the days of telephone switchboards. She met and married Fred Paulitz and they moved to Ipswich in 1961 where they raised their family. Fred and Ruth enjoyed square dancing and round dancing for many years. Ruth enjoyed volunteering at the Ipswich Humane Group and working the polls for the local elections. In addition to her husband of 51 years she is survived by four children: Frederick F. Paulitz and his wife Shannon Hurley of Henniker, NH; Theresa A. Paulitz Dailey and her partner Edward Aazooes of St. Thomas, USVI; Mary-Jean Paulitz and her wife Shelley Mathewson of Portland, Oregon; William G. Paulitz and his wife Patricia of Ipswich; and two grandchildren Rowan W. and Reid G. Paulitz both of Ipswich.Her funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 11th at the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Ipswich Humane Group, PO Box 873, Ipswich MA 01938.For directions or to leave a condolence please visit www.whittier-porter.com
