My mother, Edna, and I visited Elsie at the nursing home most Sundays after church. After chatting awhile, I would sit back and listen to the two of them talk about their younger days living in Winchester. What one didn't remember, the other one did. They were so excited to talk about so many wonderful memories. I heard Elsie met Tom by throwing a snowball at his car as it passed by on a dare.
She was so loving. The last thing she would tell us when leaving was "love ya", and that's how I will remember her.
