George Crowe Obituary

George Crowe 86, of Topsfield, MA and a 22 year 6 month resident of Countryside Golf Club passed away March 28th, 2012, after a 9 year battle with multiple myeloma. Born March 17, 1926 in Nova Scotia, Canada, George was a veteran of the Canadian Army in World War II. He graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, N.S. and N.S. Technical University in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Canadian and U.S. Gypsum Co., Bullard Abrasives as General Manager. George was a Past President of the Kiwanis Club in Nova Scotia and the Topsfield Lions Club, also a former little league and hockey coach. He was an avid golfer, bridge player, gardener and traveler. As well as Countryside in Naples, he belonged to Old Newbury Golf Club and Georgetown Golf Club in MA. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Barbara Kenney Crowe of Topsfield, MA; 4 children, Stephen (Linda) Crowe, Sharon (Brian) Walsh, Michael (Beth) Crowe, and Heather (Ryan) Connor; 11 Grandchildren, Stephanie and Kelly Walsh, David and Jonathon Crowe, Jessica, Christopher, Nichole, Thomas and Matthew Crowe, and Christine and Jennifer Conner; and 3 Great Grandchildren, Isabella, Aaliyah and Vincent Crowe. A Memorial Service will be held in Topsfield, MA on Memorial Day weekend. In Celebration of Georges life, memorial donations may be made to AVOW Hospice 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
