Julie McNabb Obituary

Julie (Donlan) McNabb 85, of Cohasset died peacefully on February 6th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Julie was born and raised in West Roxbury and was the daughter of State Representative Edmond J. Donlan and his wife Rosella (Kenny) Donlan. A beloved mother, grandmother, and counselor. Julie enjoyed a long career as a School Adjustment Counselor in Dedham, Marion, Mattapoisett and Whitman Hanson Schools and treated the children of those communities as if they were her own. Julie loved travel, the theatre and the arts. A person of great faith, she was a dedicated parishioner of St. Anthony's in Cohasset. She is survived by two daughters Lauren Nolan and her husband Dan Nolan of Sciutate. Tara McNabb of Montana, three sons John K. McNabb of Hull, Michael F. McNabb of Hull and Christopher V. McNabb of Vietnam. She also has 7 spectacular grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud. She is survived by her brother Michael F. Donlan and his wife Susan of West Roxbury. She is predeceased by her daughter Mary McNabb and her son Gerald V. McNabb. Julie loved her family, was kind, gracious and humble and, according to her children, gave them the most generous gift of all, nurturing them yet allowing them to grow to become who they were destined to be, not who anyone expected them to be. A Mass of the Resurrection & Celebration of Life will be celebrated on July 24th at 1 oclock at St. Anthony's Parish at 2 Summer Street in Cohasset, MA. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend.
