Marilyn Rowley Obituary

Marilyn E. (Johnson) Rowley, 72, of Wareham, passed away Tuesday, April 12, at Brigham & Womens Hospital, Boston. Marilyn is the wife of 51 years to Richard M. Rowley of Wareham. Marilyn was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late J. Bernard and Catherine (Cass) Johnson. She attended Brockton Public Schools and was a 1957 graduate of Brockton High School. She furthered her education by attending Chandler Secretarial School, graduating in 1959. Marilyn loved her family, watching her grandchildren mature, her many friends, cooking, baking, sewing and reading. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Kevin D. Rowley and his wife Patricia of Marion, Stephen C. Rowley of Wareham and Brenda L. Stockel and her husband Robert Jr. of Plymouth. She was the loving grandmother of Geoffrey, Nicole, Gregory, Dakotah and Chaunee. She was the sister of the late Bernard Johnson, Warren Johnson and Russell Johnson. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her funeral service will be Thursday, April 21, at 11 Oclock in the First Congregational Church, 11 Gibbs Ave., Wareham. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery at 12:45. Memorial gifts may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
