A friendship that started in High School band, and the track and field team, crazy summers at my camp by Laurel lake with the boat house gang and gazebo boys,...I hung out at Brian's art school one day and introduced Esther to Brian. We would crack up laughing at my folks house on Christmas eve as Brian added his comments as I attempted to put my kids' easy to assemble toys ;) ... Lots of memories to savoy. God Bless.

I'm so happy FB made it possible to reconnect with Brian in the past few years. I so admired his sense of humor in light of all he was dealing with. What tremendous courage. He was a nice guy in high school and he carried that throughout his life. He's gone much too soon. My sincere condolences to his family. The class of '68 is diminished by your loss.

My FAVORITE Godfather ever.. I will miss you so much.. I know I haven't seen you a lot with what's been going on in my life. But you were and will always be in my thoughts. You slwYx knew how to make me laugh. To cheer me up when I lived at Janice's you drew me the best unicorn picture. Always fun to watch Dad, Murph, Griff and you drinkin from the keg doing your stooges. Asking me if I wanted you to call me a cab, so you would say "your a cab" and my daughters will alwYs remember " BEERCAP FOREHEADS" everytime we came by... Have a good time with Mom.. Love your Favorite Goddaughter ever....

Brian was as much a part of the Carlson clan as any Carlson. It was great to see him belly up to the bar at the Carlson Christmas bash and laugh with the rest of us. It is hard to let him go and he will be sorely missed.

Bearski, you made me laugh! From the moment our friendship began Sept 1976 (at "the Chalet" with a bottle of the finest liquor we were able to purchase "Burke and Barry") somewhere around 2am you Murphy and Michael voted me into the "fellowship". On the condition that I cook breakfast (LOL). Patriot games,Vacations together,Poker games, St Patrick parties your beloved movie sound tracks "Guns of Navarone and Glory" to name a few. In your later years Murph you and I would go out for lunch then we would take scenic drives together. I will miss the laughter.....

We will miss Brian so much. He grew up with Vern and welcomed me into the fold with open arms almost 38 years ago. We both loved him for his jokes, his movie sound tracks, the stinky cigars and his ability to make us smile. We will always remember the St Patty's Day parties when he cooked that awesome corned beef, the time at camp when he went into the trees and shook them an growled at us (like a bear), the lobster bake in his backyard, the trip to Martha's Vineyard and all the other fun times we had together. Brian was and always will be family to us and will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Our heartfelt sympathies to all. We love you guys and will always be there for you...that's what you do for family.

Hey bear. You have put up such a physical battle for so long. I dont know how you did it. I believe your love for your family and your sense of humor got you through. I still have the cartoon characters of the leafhoppers you drew. You were there for me during many discussion about your friend up the street, and you were always right. Many a nice party at your place for st. Patricks day, once ya got past that attack cat. And how much you loved josh, we talked for hours many times about him. Yes, you did very well as a great father, but you know that. You got to see him marry a wonderful young lady and you got your grandchildren you wished for. I will miss you bear, I will be honest, it will be hard not to see you at the next gathering as I could never resist or ignore on your wit. Love always, susan

The one thing that you could always count on when you were with Brian was a great laugh. I still enjoy the caricatures that he produced for our 1968 LHS Year Book.
