Katherine Barounis Obituary

Katherine "Kathy" Barounis, of Chelmsford, MA, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2018. Beloved mother of Anthony "Tony" Zosherafatain and Aristotle "Ari" Zosherafatain. Beloved daughter of the late Antonios and Lambrini Barounis. Devoted sister of Fotis Barounis and his wife Maria, and Anna Barounis. Also survived by her former spouse, Ali Reza Zosherafatain, sister-in-law Laeyla Zosherafatain, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends here and in Greece, Australia, and Iran. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, Boston, Mass. followed by interment in The Gardens Cemetery, Boston, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Hellenic Initiative, c/o Peter Poulos, Director of Development http//www.the hellenicinitiative.org or http://www.onegreece.org. To Kathy's family:
We first met Kathy during the early days of Fishbones, and her interior decorating business. Being Greek and my wife of Macedonian heritage, we had much to talk about as time permitted at the restaurant.
She was kind, friendly and always expressed an interest in our family. We missed seeing her for some time.
Our deepest sympathy. May her memory be eternal.
