Charles Rizzo Obituary

Charles A. Rizzo, formerly of Falmouth, MA died November 12, 2013 in Vero Beach, FL at 89 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rizzo, his brother Father Angelo "Sonny" Rizzo, and the love of his life, his wife Dorothea, who passed away in December, 2012. Charles and Dorothea loved living in Falmouth, and spent many years boating, traveling back and forth to Florida, and spending time with family. He was a heavy-duty equipment mechanic and operator and owned his own equipment business in Framingham, MA, serving as President of CEMA in 1970. He also had various boating and business interests in Falmouth, and could be found tinkering with engines well into his 80's. Always an adventurer, he and Dorothea had a memorable trip to Europe, a Bahama cruise with daughters Kathleen and Martha and their husbands in 2004, and Charles celebrated his 83rd birthday by navigating a glider plane from Martha's Vineyard to Falmouth and back. He was a proud WWII veteran and spent many happy hours reminiscing with other vets at the Draper House in Hopedale and at Rosewood Manor in Vero Beach. He is survived by daughter Kathleen Richard of Vero Beach, FL and her husband John, daughter Martha Teixeira of Tiverton, RI and her husband Joseph, daughter Thelma Tocci of Medfield, granddaughter Danielle Casey, grandsons Matthew and Lucas Baker, and two great-grandchildren, Christian House and Hannah Casey. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Rizzo of Needham, MA and several nieces and nephews. Contributions in their name may be sent to VNA Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL or the Blackstone Skilled Nursing Home, 8 Butler Street, Blackstone, MA. A memorial service will be held in the Spring, 2014.

Obedient humans will soon receive the full benefit of Jesus' ransom sacrifice.
This will occur under the rule of the Kingdom for which the upright have long prayed, saying:
“Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come.
Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.” (Matthew 6:9, 10)
