Christopher Lesperance Obituary

Christopher J. Lesperance, 84, of Palm Bay FL and formerly of Millville, MA, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Blackstone, MA on January 23, 1928, he was a son of the late Ovila and Mary (Reilly) Lesperance. He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Pauline (Bourgery) Lesperance. His son Christopher Lesperance predeceased him in 2005. Chris leaves his eight children, Pauline Winn and her husband Kevin of Grafton, MA, Christine Cullen and her husband Michael of Palm Bay, FL, Eileen Plasse and her husband William of St. Petersburg, FL, Diane Berthelette and her husband Emile of Millville, Anna Laplume and her husband Richard of Millville, Michael Lesperance and his wife Ann of Millville, John Lesperance and his wife Nancy of Franklin, MA, and Mary Santoro of Millville. He also leaves 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Joseph Lesperance of Florida, Louis Lesperance of Blackstone, Paul Lesperance of Vermont, Anna Lavallee of Blackstone and the late Ovila Lesperance, Leo Lesperance, Peter Lesperance, Melvina Goulet, Mary Robinson and Louise Shields. Chris was the former owner of Chris Excavating Company and Pine Tree Concrete Products in Millville. He loved to cook, having learned his culinary skills in the U.S. Army. He also loved to snowmobile and spent much time in St. Albans, Maine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass for Chris at 9:30AM on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Augustines Church, 17 Lincoln Street, Millville, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made either to St. Augustines Church, P.O. Box 710, Millville, MA 01529, The Pancreatic Cancer Alliance, UMass/Memorial, 365 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA, 01605, or The Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
