Toots,

I am so sorry, I didn't know you passed. Coming home to NE will never be the same. When I came home I looked forward to seeing you. You made me feel so important always asking me how I was doing.

In my early 20's, we ran hoops and was taken by surprised when you asked me to play on your church team. I was really honored.

Damn Toots, I am going to miss you.

Steve, Jenna, Angie, Bill and Family – Our hearts mourn with yours. Our trips to NE for the Cherry Parade will forever be changed. We'll cherish all the wonderful memories of your dad and brother -- his rendition of “I love a parade” and “Hey Merce!” are two of my personal favorites. And Fran has so many stories and memories of their adventures through the years. Toots was more than a friend...he was like a brother to Fran. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We'll miss you, Toots.

Steve, Jenna, Angela everyone should have children like you who take care of there parents like they took care of you. He was one of my favorite people who I have known since I was a very young girl. A great man was lost but a better friend to all is gone & in a better place. Love to you all. Maureen Gratto

Toots was a great guy....one of the good guys of this world. I remember him so fondly, growing up with him and B. I loved his rendition of Blue Berry Hill. He did a pretty good Fats Domino. And his love for the Redskins....I think he would have married Bobby Mitchell, if he were a girl. That's Toots...a lot of fun, a lot of heart, a lot of soul.
To B and family, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm very saddened by his passing. Although he was only an acquaintance he told me that he saw me at the cancer center. We exchanged some stories that were rather funny. I only regret that I never got the chance to see him again.

Right now we just need one of our nice long talks. I and so many others will miss you my friend. I heard your lawn mower awhile ago and without thinking I yelled to Bob " Toots is mowing !". You two were always fussing as to who was first to mow. Then I realized that it must be Steve. I am glad that you are in peace and your children were and are here for you in your need. We will all see you again and until then just enjoy Heaven and rejoice in the Lord.
