Livia Fratturelli Obituary

Livia L. (Caligaris) Fratturelli 94 of Fitchburg and a resident of Bolton died on Wednesday August 31, 2011 surrounded by her family at The Highlands Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born on September 4, 1916 in Nizza Monferato, Italy, was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Bello) Calagaris. She moved from Italy in 1929 and came through Ellis Island, New York. Livia and her husband, the late John J. Fratturelli Sr. were the owners and operators of Twin's Caf in Leominster. She was a member of St. Anna Society, she volunteered for St. Anna School Lunch Program, and her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by two sons John J. Fratturelli Jr. and his wife Kim of Leominster Ronald J. Fratturelli and his wife Karen of Prescott Valley, Arizona, a daughter Lelia "Lee" J. Callinan and her husband Kevin of Bolton, MA two brothers Candido Caligaris and his wife Phyllis of Fitchburg, and Conrad Caligaris and his wife Barbara of Franklin, MA, four grandchildren Kevin Callinan Jr., Matthew Fratturelli, Lauren Fratturelli, and Deborah Tata and her husband Gary, a great grandson Anthony Fratturelli and former daughter in law Anne Fratturelli. She was predeceased by her husband John J. Fratturelli Sr in 1991. The family would like to thank all of the caretakers over the past years for their conscientious efforts. The funeral will be held from the Wright-Roy Funeral Home 109 West St in Leominster on Friday September 2, 2011 with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna Church 199 Lancaster St Leominster, Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster, A calling hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home Friday morning. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army 25 Shawmut Road Canton, MA 02021.
