I am a recent grad from Emmanuel College and worked with Nora frequently. She would always be the officer on duty when I worked the front desk at a residence hall. I loved spending my shifts with her, she was always so kind and enthusiastic and would tell the best stories. She would also be one of my biggest supporters with shows I would be auditioning for (specifically Sound of Music). She told me every time she would not imagine any other person playing Maria, and she knew I was an Education major and she knew how much I loved kids. Every day she would ask if the auditions happened yet or if the cast list was up, and when I eventually was cast (as Maria) she was so happy and proud of me. We both chatted about how she would want to see the show, but then the school closed because of the pandemic. I always considered her to be like my grandmother at school. She was so kind and thoughtful and even emailed me on graduation day after we hadn't talked in 2 months. I want to give condolences to the family, you lost a true gem in the world.

To Nora's family: I would just like to say how very sorry I am to hear of Nora's passing. I was her letter carrier for her time in Weymouth. Didn't get to see her very often cause she was always working...but when I did, we shared ideas on how to manage the shortfalls of living with ants and other critters in the neighborhood. She learned real fast what happens when you don't pick up your mail on a daily basis....I had the police do a wellness check on her. Needless to say, being greeted by the police at your door tends to help remind you. She was grateful and had a good sense of humor through it. She will be missed in "the park". May she rest in peace.
