Richard K. Berry

Richard K. Berry, of Hingham, died from complications related to cancer on December 22, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family and passed peacefully. He was 71. Born in Hingham, October 24, 1943, Rick was a lifelong Hingham resident. He was an active member of the community and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Rick, son of the late Richard and Gertrude Berry of Hingham, is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Kathleen (Cheverie) Berry of Abington and Hingham; his son, Tom Berry and his wife Gwynne of Waterbury, Vt.; his daughter, Kim Blank and her husband Josh of Charleston, S.C. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Mason and Cassidy of Waterbury, Vt., and Evan and Siena of Charleston, S.C.; his brother, Charlie Berry and his wife Susan of Hingham; his sister, Joyce Rice and her husband Rick of Seattle, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Ricks life on Saturday, January 3, at 11 a.m. at the South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main Street, Hingham.
