A very intelligent engineer and a compassionate gentleman.

He shall be missed.

Bob is missed every day by his colleagues at work. He was a good friend and one of the most intelligent men I have ever met. I miss his stories of colonial commerce, American Indians, and how to pick the big sixteen brackets. I still walk by his work station as I go to lunch, remembering how we used to drag him away from the console to go to the cafeteria or Bahama Breeze. Autoliv is the lesser for losing Bob, but I am the better for having known him. Godspeed Bob, we will see you soon.

I had the honor of knowing Bob during his last year. I greatly admired his inquisitive nature and his work ethic. Bob was uncommonly generous sharing his insights, suggestions and opinions with his younger colleagues. The courtesy he extended to others is an inspiration to me, and I hope I can help keep this spirit alive.

With deep respect and sympathy,

Bob was incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable, always willing to share his time and expertise. Whether your problems were of a professional or personal nature, he was always happy to help.
His curiosity about everything was also vast; he was the only person I know to have read the entire deflate gate report, the highlights of which he shared with us.
After sharing a quad cubicle with him for three years, I miss him very much.
My thoughts are with his family, who have lost a great man. You have my deepest condolences.

Bob was a real inspiration, role model, and a true friend. An expert on so many topics, with an open mind and a knowing smile, Bob's aura made you want to be around him, whether it was for a work project, for lunch, or for a simple stop and chat in the corridor. So many times I found myself stalling just to listen to him that little bit longer. His absence can be felt every day; something just doesn't seem quite right without him in the office, like a piece of how things should be just isn't here anymore. He will be deeply missed, and remembered with fondness always.

My deepest condolences to the Tatnall family.

By far, Bob was one of the smartest people I've ever known. He was a true researcher on any subject, engineering, politics, sports, or social sobjects, knowledgeable and unbiased. You couldn't have a conversation with Bob and not learn something new. Bob was a mentor to all of us who were fortunate to have worked with him.

Bob, you will always be remembered in our conversations and missed in our hearts. Rest in peace good friend.
