Frances Shay Obituary

Frances E. Frannie (Campbell) Shay, 83, of East Bridgewater, passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, in Signature Health Care Brockton Hospital, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Albert W. Shay. Frannie was born in Revere, daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (Robar) Campbell. She was brought up in Everett and attended Everett schools. She had been an East Bridgewater resident for several years and was a cafeteria worker for the East Bridgewater schools. Frances was a member of the Whitman Womens Auxiliary, Post 697, an avid red sox fan and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods. She is survived by her siblings, Florence Chaput of Saugus, Dorothy LoRusso of Revere, Chester Campbell and his wife Gerry of North Andover, Carol Campbell of Saugus and the late Thomas Campbell Jr.; also many nieces and nephews. Her services will be held Wednesday Aug. 25, at 12 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary), Whitman. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, High St., Hanson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. For online condolences and directions, please visit www.blanchardfc.com.
