Gwendolyn H. Blanchard

Gwendolyn Hazel (Judson) Blanchard, age 88, of Middleborough, died at home, on Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was the wife of the late David E. Blanchard for 58 years. Gwendy was a graduate of UMass Amherst, with a bachelor's degree in animal husbandry. Gwendy and David owned and operated Lolans Farm in Middleborough. Gwendy was a volunteer in the East Middleboro 4-H program for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church at the Green where she was active in the Women's group, and Bible Study. One of her favorite activities was organizing the Silver Tea. Gwendy is survived by her children, David Blanchard of Edgewater, Florida, Susan Shields of Middleborough, Linda Pierson of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, and Jimmy Blanchard of Middleborough. She had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Joyce Benson, Paul Judson and Phyllis Loftus. Interment services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
