Jesse L. Morse

Jesse L. Morse, age 90, died Nov. 8, at his home in Easton. He was a resident of Easton for 60 years. Jesse was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Colucci) Morse. He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey of Easton and Robert of Burlingame, Calif.; grandchildren, Amy Byrne-Lipscomb, Sandra Morse, Jessica Morse, Jonathan Morse and Trevor Morse; a great-granddaughter, Caroline Alice Lipscomb; as well as his sister, Louise of Plymouth. The son of the late Jesse and Ada (Woodward) Morse, he was born Jan. 21, 1922, in West Bridgewater. He was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School and the Brockton Business School. Jesse proudly served in the Army during World War II in North Africa, and was honorably discharged with the rank of master sergeant. He was a crane operator by trade and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 4. He worked for Julian Crane & Equipment and Modern Continental. He loved his work and many of the buildings in the Boston area have his stamp on them. Jesse devoted his time and energy supporting his sons as a church league basketball coach, Little League coach and a Cub Scout Scoutmaster. After he retired, he loved to craft custom birdhouses and putter around his house on Lincoln Street. Viewing hours were held Friday, Nov. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by a funeral service Saturday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. Arrangements by the Copeland MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., North Easton.
