Jake and I grew up together with his brother Bob [Rabbit]. We lived across the street from each other. We attended the old Eastondale grammar school together, even though he was a year ahead and I was a year ahead of Rabbit. We played with each other growing up, playing sandlot football and baseball together. WE attended dances together at the old Oliver Ames High School with the rest of the Eastondale gang, and when I was in college, dated together with his now beloved wife. I was in college dating her best girlfriend at the time. After I married [not his wife's girlfriend] and moved to Texas, I saw Jake, while visiting back home in Eastondale, at the fire station where he worked with my brother-in-law Paul Brophy. I believe the last time I saw Jake was when Paul passed away. Over the years I lost all contact with the old Eastondale gang. Fortune has shined and I am now back in contact with Rabbit and we met a while ago while I was on the Cape at my family cottage.
