Thomas Chisholm III

Thomas "Malcolm" Chisholm III of West Bridgewater passed peacefully after a period of failing health on July 2, 2015, at St. Joseph's Manor in Brockton, at the age of 85. He was the husband of the late Hazel (Benson) Chisholm. Son of the late Thomas M. Chisholm Jr. and Marjorie (Thomas) Chisholm, Thomas was born, raised and educated in Weymouth, where his family owned a dairy farm on Pine Street for years, until moving to East St., West Bridgewater, in 1951, where he and his family operated a successful dairy farm. He was foreman of the West Bridgewater Highway Department for number of years and also worked at Asack's Turkey Farm. He was a member of the Plymouth County 4H, 50-year Mason of Fellowship Lodge and a member of First Church of West Bridgewater. He loved fishing, and Boston sports, especially the Red Sox. He was the beloved father of Thomas Chisholm and his wife Christine of West Bridgewater, Scott Chisholm of West Bridgewater and companion Linda Brazil, Desa Dewhurst and her husband Donald of East Bridgewater, Marjorie Crawford and her husband James of Florida, and Diane Parmenter and her husband Peter of Georgia; brother of Robert Chisholm and his wife Louise, Richard Chisholm and his wife Jean; and brother-in-law of Marjorie Sullivan; grandfather of Ian Crawford, Lillian Chisholm and self appointed grandson, Steven. Mac is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 6 p.m. in the First Church of West Bridgewater, 29 Howard Street.
