James H. Eames

James H. Eames, Senior Deacon, of Randolph, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 7, 2017. He was 85 years old. Born in Boston, Deacon Jim was raised and educated in Hyde Park and was a resident of Randolph for 60 years. After serving in the Korean War with the US Air Force, he worked as a manager at New England Telephone Company. In 1986, he was ordained as a deacon, serving at St. Marys Church in Randolph. Jim ran the Boston Marathon, coached CYO baseball, and was an avid sports fan who especially loved the Cape Cod Baseball League. Beloved husband of the late Rosemarie (Gauss) Eames. Loving father of Lauren Eames and James D. Eames and his wife Lisa, all of Randolph. Devoted brother of late Doug, Ralph, Phyllis and Barbara. Dear grandfather of Jacquelyn, Nicole, and Matthew, and great-grandfather of Lillian and Nathan. A funeral Mass held at St. Marys Church in Randolph on Wednesday, April 12, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday, April 11, from 4 - 7 p.m. at St. Marys Church. Interment St. Marys Cemetery, Randolph.
