Ted was one of the nicest people I've met. Always happy and upbeat. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. The world would be a better place with more people like Ted.

Lauren, Jessica and Sam,
We have incredibly fond memories of your Dad all those years ago. Your dad's laughter is what I remember best as you could always count on the gentleman that he was with a great sense of humor. All the times we spent together watching you girls, the joyous and complete love he had for all of you was indeed what put a smile on his face. Prayers, love, light and blessings to all of you for your highest good. Bonnie and Michael Matkov

I have great memories of Ted when we worked together at Apple, he in Air, myself in Product. He was ever cheerful and enjoyed people, sharing a laugh,as he made his rounds before the day started. I know he was very well liked by all. I am deeply sorry for the loss to his family, and extend my heartfelt sympathy. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I knew your Dad for over 30 years. He was my boss in 1983 while at Arrow Air and became a lifetime friend.
Your dad was a mentor to me in my career. Mostly he was a great friend and we spoke very often. He guided me through ups and downs in life. He was always there for me and always had time to speak and have some laughs.
I will always hold fond memories of your Dad. Ted my friend RIP.

As I read all these special messages about Ted, I am overwhelmed by the special feelings everyone had for Ted!!! He was certainly loved by all. Our family is so very saddened to learn of his passing. Although his life on this earth was too short, he certainly made a huge impact on the lives of others! He left a beautiful legacy to his daughters in the way he lived his life! Rest in peace. May your memory be eternal!

Teddy P was an inspiration. Although I only knew him a short time, his travel stories, supportive presence, and obvious love for life shone brightly. It is without question that I say he has passed these qualities on to his girls.

Mr Papps and Mrs Papps gave me my first job! I would walk down the lane behind my house to theirs, and babysit beautiful Jessica several days a week, after school. I remember his constant smile and love of music, when he found out I bought a Billy Squire album he told me how much he loved music too.
I went onto college and majored in musical performance. I live in Texas now, but I still talk to my own kids about the Papps family-and my first job. I am sorry for your loss, I'm sure he is up there rockin it out in heaven! God Bless all of you, Valerie Zeller-Hibler

All of our conversations started with, "You know..." and ended with, "kiddo". Thank you so much for the advice, support and seats throughout the years, Ted. You were a hell of a mentor, friend and umpire. I can only imagine what trouble you and Mash are going to start up there.
You are truly missed here.

Not too long ago, Ted asked me if I would attend a fund raiser for Brain Injury Victims. I was honored and proud to attend and support through donation as one of Ted's invitees among many in attendance for a worthy cause because of Ted.
Not too long ago, I was stunned due to the extraordinary care given to Alexis and I while vacationing at Apple's exclusive Zoëtry Resort in Mexico. Because of Ted, every flight attendant, pilot, concierge, Limo driver, waiter, yoga instructor, masseuse, and bar-tender, was quite aware that we were friends of Ted. Imagine a flight home after ten great vacation days at a beautiful resort and being called to the gate, as a couple prior to boarding ahead of other passengers to be asked which seats we wanted and if we had any meal/drink preferences for the flight home. This is Ted.
Not too long ago, from February to April this year I experienced a catastrophic family health issue, for support, I took a page out of Ted's Legacy. We do not know when or how these things happen, however unfair, these things happen. Live life terrifically and help others along the way.
Cheers my friend, you made the world a better place. -Al Roach & Alexis Shaw Dunham

Ted was one of the first people I met when I walked into Apple Vacations many years ago and he immediately made me feel like I was home. Fast forward 20 years and he was driving me to our company anniversary lunch while blasting Bruce Springsteen in the car on the way. Ted - I'll miss talking sports and music with you and arguing about lift and load factors. Most of all I'll miss your impromptu monologues at our sales meetings - they will never be the same. May God be with your family. And in the words of Bruce, "On the backstreets until the end" my friend.

The Circle won't be the same without you, Ted!
So glad we had the chance to hang out when the Phanatic was there not too long ago.
You were so happy that night and told us many stories about your daughters and your sister.
You made a lasting impression on all of us, including my children Hope and Justin. They wanted to tie a balloon to a bottle of beer and send it up to you last night! I told them you probably already had a few when you got up there!
We will all miss you so very much!!!
To your girls: May God continue to give you the strength to cope with your devastating loss. You are all in our prayers!
