I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. One of the nicest guys ever. Will miss him around State Street Wharf. RIP.

I remember him running the Queen and bringing the Y day campers out to Childrens' Island.

So sad to hear of Jim's passing. Jim has been a long time customer of mine. He always left me a very upbeat message, even when he was in trouble with his computer. He was such a nice man. Thoughts and prayers to the family. I enjoyed my visits to his home. Great stories!

Capt. Jim was one of the nicest men I have ever known, He was kind, sweet, gentle and always smiling! I always enjoyed our times together and sorry there will be no more- But I am sure he is enjoying all the harbors of heaven! Happy Sailing Capt. Jim , you will be missed. oxox

It was a real kick in the gut to get the news of my Uncle Jimmy's passing. Such a gentleman and so many great memories, especially fishing on the Queen. I am so glad that my brother David and I stopped in to see him when we were in town for the 4th of July. I don't think I ever heard Jim say anything bad about another human being. I don't remember when it started, but when I was a kid he called me "Baba Looey", after the cartoon character. Some will get this reference, "s'alright Uncle Jimmy, s'alright."

So sad to hear Jimmy has left us. Thinking now of trips we took to Florida and the Bahamas when I was just a wharf rat working at Graves Boat Yard and he was the senior officer on deck for good, clean fun. Never heard him say a bad word about anyone; truly a kind, gentle, loving man. If only we could be more like Jimmy, the world would be a much better place! Sail on my friend!

My beloved Jim, you have slipped your mooring and slipped over our horizon on your last sail out of our cove. You have done so dearest Brother, as you lived your life, with dignity, grace, honor and in golden silence. As always.. An officer and a Gentle Man. See you when we get to the dock. "c"
