Joan Thompson

Joan Thompson, 85, from Durham, NH died peacefully at home in Marblehead, MA May 19, 2017 from lung cancer. Wife of Don Thompson, daughters Tracey McGonagle and her husband Paul of Marblehead, MA, Leslie Thompson, Colorado Springs, CO, Robin Thompson, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, grandchildren Kathryn, Paige and Colton. Joan was born in Aberdeen, SD and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, graduated summa cum laude from South Dakota State. Started Don Thompson Real Estate with her husband in Durham, NH. Loved to spend winters in Rancho Mirage, CA and summers on Hidden Lake in ME with family and friends where she would play golf and tennis. Joan had many talents and interests of which she was very modest, especially her incredible artwork. At the familys request, services will be private.
