Jonathan G. Negretti

Jonathan G. Negretti, age 37, died early Thursday morning, August 8, 2013. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Clarence "Gene" Negretti and the late Anne Marie (Pelletier) Negretti. Jonathan lived in Marblehead for many years and was a graduate of Marblehead High School. Following his accident, Jonathan participated in the 'Shake-A-Leg' program in Newport, Rhode Island where he enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities, including sailing and later becoming a mentor to others within the program. More recently, Jonathan was employed with Thermodata Corporation in Marblehead where he assisted with office responsibilities, maintaining social media sites and creating hands-on prototypes. One of Jonathan's favorite passions in life was traveling. Some of his trips included visits to Amsterdam, London, France, Aruba and the Cayman Islands. Jonathan also loved live music, Broadway theatre and cheering for his favorite New England sport's teams. Jonathan was an avid poker player and wanted to play professionally. Some of Jonathan's happiest moments were spent around the water and in the company of close friends including dear friends Christian Simmon and Geoffrey Blass and family. Jonathan will forever be remembered for his kind spirit, warm smile, charm, heartfelt hugs, handshakes, sense of humor and admirable courage. Surviving Jonathan are two uncles, Robert Pelletier of North Andover; Norman Pelletier and his wife Janice of Newton, NH; one aunt, Rosemary Brindamore and her husband William of North Hampton, NH and his extended family, Marilyn Trapp and daughters Tracey and Nicole, as well as many cousins and countless caring friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (Cor. of North St.) Salem at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours were held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
