Jose R. Andrade

Jose R. Andrade, 74, of Hudson, died on Saturday, March 15th surrounded by his loving family at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maria F. (Chaves) Andrade of Hudson. Jose was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, son of the late Manuel S. and Rosa (Resendes) Andrade. He emigrated to Hudson from Portugal in 1966 and was employed by the Dept. of Public Works in Hudson for 21 years until his retirement in 2002. Jose always looked forward to spending the summer months camping on Cape Cod. He especially enjoyed his many fishing trips to the Cape Cod Canal. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends who will all miss him. He was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. Besides his wife, he is survived by his three sons, James Andrade and his wife Michelle of Sterling, Michael Andrade and his wife Michelle of Hudson and Kevin Andrade of Hudson. He is also survived by his three loving grandchildren, Cassia, Camryn and Kylie Andrade and his many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
