Keith Pangman Obituary

Keith Edward Pangman, 30, of Maynard, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Boston, MA after losing his battle with mental illness and substance abuse. Keith is remembered lovingly by family for his sense of humor and his hard work in the face of many challenges, as well as his willingness to help others. Keith cherished his time with his family and friends. He was happiest when he was with his daughter, Dezirae. Together they enjoyed fishing on the Assabet River; playing with Keith's dog, Tiger; cooking; and going for long walks around town. Some of Keith's favorite family times include participating in United Methodist youth group events with his Grandfather Ken White in New York; learning to sail with his Grandmother Dana Carroll on Galway Lake, NY; visits with his Grandmother Mary Pangman in Cobleskill, NY; and in more recent years, getting together with his new tribe at Tetreault family gatherings in Marion, MA. Keith's daughter, Dezirae, fondly remembers one Saturday morning when her daddy invited the neighbors and their children to the house. Keith taught everyone how to make pizza from scratch. In a school project earlier this year Dezirae included this memory along with a photo. She wrote, "This is a picture of me and my dad cooking pizza for my first time. It shows that me and my dad had a good time making pizza. This picture is important to me because I don't get to see him a lot and I love cooking with him." Keith is survived by his daughter, Dezirae A. Mikalunas of Maynard, MA; mother, Christie C. White and her partner, Lois K. Tetreault of Maynard MA; grandparents, Dana J. Carroll and Karen Schmeider of Scotia, NY, and Kenneth E. White and Ilona White of Kupiskis, Lithuania; uncles, aunts, and cousins Steven, Amelia, and Brendan White of Cebu, Philippines, Lauren T. Tetreault and Pat Sands of Maynard, MA, Linda L. Tetreault and Mark Cohen of Yarmouthport, MA, Tom H. Tetreault and family of Waltham, MA, Genevieve L. Puleo and Brady Eskilson of West Lebanon, NH, Alexandra F. Puleo and Sebastian Ebarb of Roslindale, MA, Tim Pangman and family of Cobleskill, NY, Kevin Pangman and family of Syracuse, NY, Jeff Pangman and family of Cobleskill, NY, Ted Pangman and family of Schenectady, NY, Todd Pangman and family of Virginia, Jodi Pangman and family of Schenectady, NY, Gary M. Pangman of Cobleskill, NY; and close family friend, Ashley Maynard of Webster, MA. Dezirae will continue to live with her Grammies and Guardians Christie C. White and Lois K. Tetreault. Donations will be gratefully accepted in Keiths name to Common Cathedral run by Ecclesia Ministries. This program serves as a faith community for people experiencing homelessness. Common Cathedral provides food, clothing, community, and other critical resources to those in need. Website: http://commoncathedral.org/

I remember great times with Keith at church, in Brewster NY, and church trips to Camp Epworth. My thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and the rest of his family!

I did not know Keith, but being Christie's son, he must have been a great guy. I'm sorry that the Lord has called him home so soon.

It is heartbreaking to lose a child and your heart will never be the same. Still, the love you shared with your son has and will continue to ease the pain even as you share it with Dezi and others.

Keith was such a sweet guy. Zack and I used to love stopping in the Quarterdeck to get takeout when he was working there. He always had a big smile and was so kind. A big heart, his pain hidden, always bestowing goodness on everyone. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending love.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one, especially at such a young age. Please find comfort in God's promise found at John 6:40 which says that soon we will see all our loved ones again.
