My father John was a big part of Chris' life in the early years of his life. Finally in 2016 my wife Lori and I were able to get together with Chris and Adrianne and grew very close to them in the few short years since. This leaves a terrible void for us all.
We shared a lot together since meeting and I know his lovely wife and two sons were his pride and joy and he was looking forward to retiring and having more time with them.
Rest in peace cousin, you will always live in our hearts. Until we meet again!

To the family of Chris.
I am so sorry for your recent loss
I never met Chris personally. However My husband John Shiels and I had met his mother Carol Acres. Chris and I were both doing Genealogy research on the Acres Family, when we met online.
My husband,John Shiels, was the Biological son of Richard Warren Acres and his second wife, Ethel Bernice "Bunny" Wynne. He was formally adopted by the Shiels family.
I began my research back in 1995, when we became aware of the biological family, as we were seeking family medical history re: Heart Issues and discovered several ancestors inflicted. In John's case it affected persons in both the Acres and Wynne families. Again my deepest and sincere sympathy. Wonderful memories will replace the grief you now feel.

My husband and I met Chris just two weeks ago as he stopped into Santarpios on Route 1 to pick up a pizza for he and his wife on his way home from work. He sat next to us while he waited and talked about growing up in Malden - we did too so that was all we needed to connect. He spoke about his wife, his sons (one in the military), his job(s) and future retirement. We spent about 30 minutes chatting before his pizza arrived and he was out the door. Although we were strangers he was very proud of his wife, kids and life. This is so very sad and surreal.
