Adam Gregory Burke, born September 12, 1971, passed away October 8, 2018 after a short battle with lung cancer. Adam is survived by Kimberly (Hendry) Burke of White Horse Beach Massachusetts, his sons Zachary Burke and Aidan Burke of Fairfield, Ca, as well as extensive family and friends. Adam worked in animation for over 26 years with 17 of those years with Pixar Animation Studios. He worked with Don Bluth on Thumbelina, A Troll in Central Park, with Richard Rich on The Swan Princess, with Warner Bros. on Space Jam and The Iron Giant, and with DreamWorks on The Road to El Dorado, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. His work with Pixar includes Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, Monsters University, and most recently, Incredibles 2. Adam grew up in Plymouth. He was in the first gra- duating class of Plymouth South High School in 1989 but stayed close to his roots in Mass. He summered every year on White Horse Beach and did charitable work with Boston Childrens Hospital and Mass General Hospital. He was on the North Bay Hospital Foundation Board in Fairfield, Ca. which worked on fund raising for hospice and bereavement. Adam loved life; he had no regrets. He will be sorely missed. Adam and Kim cre- ated a wonderful life together and have raised two beautiful sons.

Kim my heart feels crushed for you and the boys. I'm so sorry this happened. Both you and Adam were so kind to my son , Brandon. He never forgot Adam including him for the premiere of a film. And getting to tour Pixar. And neither did I . My deepest Sympathies go out to you. What a one of a kind guy he was.

Kim, my heartfelt love and sympathy goes out to you and the boys. I know Adam's spirit will be with each of you always. I know it lives on in my Grandson, Aidan, because he is pursuing his dream to be an animator because of Adam.

I was lucky enough to have followed Adam throughout his animation career. He was a beautiful, caring, gracious soul who represented his Boston roots with integrity. We miss you and love you Adam.

My daughter Grace met Adam about a year ago when the Make A Wish Foundation granted her wish to visit Pixar Studios and meet an animator. From the moment Grace & Adam met it was like they were kindred spirits. They share a wicked sense of humor and a passion for art and Pixar. At the end of our visit, Adam offered his business card to Grace and requested that she keep in touch. They continued to communicate via email periodically over the last year. Adam was a remarkable friend and mentor to Grace this past year. She knew he was super busy and yet, Adam never let a day that Grace emailed him end without replying. He was just that kind of a man - sincere, genuine, kind and compassionate. Thank you for sharing your extraordinary husband, father, son, brother with us. Adam will live in our memories for a lifetime and Grace will honor his legacy by continuing to work toward her dream and remembering that he believed in her!
