Beatrice A. Brigida

1924 - 2016

Beatrice Ann Brigida Babs (Gammons) Brigida, age 91, died peacefully at the Life Care Center of Plymouth on Jan. 9, 2016. She was the devoted wife of the late Gaetano J. Guy Brigida. Born in Middleboro, on June 13, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George and Sarah (Robischeau) Gammons. She was educated in Middleboro and moved to Plymouth in 1945. Babs enjoyed knitting and working with ceramic. She loved cooking for her family and friends, especially pasta and tortellinis. She was a member of the St. Peters Womens League. She was the loving mother of Gaetano Guy Brigida Jr. and his wife Sandy, Judith Jenney and her husband Lewis all of Plymouth and JoAnn Botelho and her husband Richard of Brandon, Fla. She was the beloved sister of Joan Merritt of Middleboro and the late Eugene Gammons of Middleboro. Also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Visiting hours held on Thursday, Jan. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth. The funeral will take place on Friday, Jan. 15, at 9:15 from the Cartmell Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peters Church at 10 a. m. Interment in the St. Josephs Cemetery, Plymouth.
