Francis A. Besozzi

Francis A. "Frank" Besozzi, age 87, of Plymouth, passed away on October 5, 2018, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (McDougal) Besozzi and Eleanore Besozzi. He leaves his longtime loving companion, Marlene Lotterhand of Plymouth. He was the father of Stephen Besozzi and his wife Jackie of California, Jack Besozzi of Boston, David Besozzi and his wife Catherine of New York. He was the grandfather of Elizabeth Mary Besozzi of Oklahoma. He was the brother of Thomas Besozzi, Theresa Clacko of Ohio and the late Gloria Besozzi "Sister Serafino". Francis "Frank" was born on December 30, 1930, in Wainwright, Ohio, to Serafino F. and Mary (Lupi) Besozzi. Upon graduating from high school, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy where he honorably served his country. After his military service he worked as an auto mechanic before venturing out on his own and started Frank's Tire and Service in Quincy, where he was well known for being an honest and reliable business man for over forty-five years. After retirement, Frank could be found ballroom dancing with his loving companion, Marlene, which he enjoyed deeply. A period of visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Davis Funeral and Cremation Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet). A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, 10 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet), followed by interment at 12:45 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne.
