Lucille Vecchi Obituary

Lucille Vecchi, age 82 years, of Plymouth, died Saturday, November 3, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Richard F. Vecchi. Daughter of the late Raymond and Helena (Mills) Alsapiedi, born in Fall River, Lucille was raised in Plymouth. She was a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School, class of 1953, where she was a cheerleader. She worked as a legal secretary for many years, most recently with Robert Betters Law Firm. She enjoyed dancing, music, cooking, playing golf, traveling and knitting blankets for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most important for Lucille was the time she got to be with her family. She loved parties, especially family parties. Lucille also volunteered at Jordan and Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Besides her loving husband Richard of 63 years, she is survived by her sons, Richard Vecchi and his wife Rita of Salem, N.H., Paul Vecchi and his wife Jennifer of West Barnstable, and Dennis Vecchi and his wife Deborah of Plymouth; her brother, Kenneth Alsapiedi of Kingston; her son-in-law, Frank Sinnott; grandchildren, Michael Vecchi, Laura Todisco, Sara Melonson, Frank and Cory Sinnott, Nicole and Alyssa Vecchi. She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Penelope, Amelia, Claire, Reis, Frank, Benjamin, Samuel and Evelynn; and several nieces, nephews; and very close friends. She was the mother of the late Lynn Sinnott. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. from the Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Kateri Tekawitha Church, Plymouth, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be private. With thankful hearts, Lucille's family was overwhelmed by the care they received from the caregivers at Cranberry Hospice, so, in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Cranberry Hopice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360. Richard you don't know me but we've met. Your wife was so beautiful and always had a fantastic smile on her face. Our paths passed often. She never seemed to get older. Sending you my deepest sympathies

So sorry to hear of Lucille's passing. I was a client at Betters and Withington at the time so I came to know Lucille. Not only was she a beautiful woman but so compassionate and kind. My condolences to the entire Vecchi family.
