Mary L. (Waitt) Almeida of Plymouth, died peacefully in her sleep on January 8th, 2019 in her home. Beloved wife of Louis F. Almeida. Loving mother of Pamela A. Almeida of Plymouth and Harry J. Almeida and his wife Michele of Plymouth. Cherished grandmother of Jason Gascoyne, Jennifer Carey and husband Kenny, Alexandria Almeida and Alyssa Almeida. Great grandmother of Jeremy L. Almeida-Walcott, Kyle Carey, Aidan Carey and Jason A. Stearns. Sister of William Waitt of Florida and Jane L. Pearce of NH. Born in Plymouth February 3, 1938 daughter of the late Harold and Carmen (Souza) Waitt. She was educated in the Plymouth Schools and a graduate of Plymouth High School. Mary retired as Director of Human Resources for Colonial Gas Company on Cape Cod. She enjoyed gardening and was a life member of the Plymouth Garden Club. Mary loved to spend time with her family cooking and baking as well as watching westerns and football with her beloved husband Louie. A private service will be held. A Celebration of Marys Life will be held on Sunday, January 20th at the Garibaldi Club, 36 Castle Street, North Plymouth from 1-5 pm.
