Robert Santoro Obituary

Robert J Santoro Jr died Thursday, April 18th, 2013. He was 76 years old. Mr. Santoro was born in Wakefield, MA. He graduated from Providence College and was a Captain in the Army. Mr. Santoro lived most of years in Stoneham, MA where he was youth hockey coach for his sons and won a National Championship with his Bantam team. He was the owner of Santoros Sub Villa in Saugus, MA. He was an avid hunter and golfer. In his retirement Mr. Santoro moved to the Villages, FL where he was the President of the Italian American Club. Mr. Santoro is survived by his wife Lois (Rossi) Santoro, of the Villages, FL, his daughter, Gail Eaton and her husband Harvey, of Bedford, NH and grandsons Andrew and Nicholas, his son Robert Santoro III and his wife Candace of Middleton, MA, his son Richard Santoro and his wife Joy of North Reading, MA and his Sister, Helen Hill of Reading, MA al- ong with several cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 on May 2nd at St Josephs Church in Wakefield, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at http://thelongestday.alz.org/ home/team/89155 or Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd Tavares, Fl 32778. Online condolences may be left at www.beyersfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL.

Bob was the President of the Italian American Club, here in the Villages. He was a terrific President, always thinking of the members and what they would like to see and do. No one wanted to take Bob's place during the years he was President because he was such a good, caring guy and ran the Club so well. We will truly miss him!
