Frank Longhurst Obituary

Longhurst, Frank J. 82, husband of the late Margaret (Connor), resident of Roslindale, Ma. and former resident of Scituate, Ma., Pots Nets, De., and Springfield, Pa. died on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Boston, Ma from complications of pancreatic cancer. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and Temple University. Mr. Longhurst was a veteran of Navy and a member of Veterans of Foreign War. He was a salesman for Ross Temp, Dupont, IDS and loved his work. He survived by a son, Donald Longhurst, and two daughters and sons in law, Lisa Cugini and her husband Victor and Laurie Sullivan and her husband, Paul. He also leaves three grandsons, Robert Cugini and Brendan and Aidan Sullivan. Mr. Longhurst was an avid boater and golfer. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi, 136 Saxer Ave. Springfield, Pa. Interment will take place at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Sophia Snow House, 1215 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132.

Thank you, Barbara. I have wonderful memories of growing up in Scituate and Pin Oak Dr. You were our first babysitter and we love you. I still remember playing with you dog at your home.

Laurie, Lisa & Donald --
Knew and loved both your parents (and you too!!) Your Mom and Dad were the kindest people, fun and full of life.
I think of Peg and Frank often when remembering my Scituate days.
Please know that my sympathies are with you.
But now - your Dad and my Dad are playing a perfect 18 holes in heaven!
