Decatur
Memorial service for John Merrill Wilkinson, 91, of Decatur will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilkinson, who died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 22, 1922, in Jefferson County to Russell James Wilkinson and Mary Francis Pounds Wilkinson. He was a World War II veteran and a great man who was loved by all. He owned and operated Discount Auto Parts in Hueytown and in Priceville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Christine Wilkinson; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include one son, John Wilkinson Jr.;
two daughters, Christine Borgman and Myrtice Randall (Jim); one brother, 10 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and six great-great-grand- children.
