Mike was an energetic presence in my class and a truly engaging personality. Even after a change of programs he kept up with me and invited me to the Central Senior Banquet. I went because he meant so much to me, and he was so excited. I am saddened by his passing; the world is a less colorful place without him.

I have fond memories of Michael as student. He would come in the room every morning with smile on his face, Good Morning and ask me if I needed? He would go over cheerfully to take a message. But my favorite memory is when Mike came into the classroom and demonstrated his fire fighting gear. Michael beamed with pride as his father showed the children how he could save a life. Michael'e proud eyes and smile, showed his love of his father and that he was his hero.
