Michael Nigrelli Obituary
In addition to his parents, he will be sadly missed by his loving grandparents, James and Annette (Esposito) Howe, West Lawn; Michael and Luann Nigrelli, Statesville, N.C.; Shellie Rutolo, West Lawn; and Christopher Esposito, in Berks County.
Services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn. There will be calling hours from 6 p.m. until the time of service. Stanton Funeral Home & Mortuary of West Reading Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

9 Years ago today I became a Father for the very first time. Only a few hours later, Michael James Nigrelli became my guardian angel. He was born and died on the same day, June 2, 2006. At the time Im not sure if I believed in angels, let alone guardian angels. I most def didn't imagine having a son again, a healthy son. I didn't believe in love or happily ever afters. I didnt believe in fate and I may have had no faith in God. But over the past 9 years ive been humbled in many ways. Im not even sure if I felt warmth in my heart. But somehow, no matter how bad things were or how impossible I thought loving was, I became A father again. Since that day I believe he watches over me. I believe he watches over his Mommy too. Although they haven't spoken in almost as many years since his passing, they were both blessed with a healthy child. And I am thankful for that. I feel his presence in my 5 yr old son, his big brother. I will never forget the high feeling of becoming a father followed by the very low feeling of losing a child. Today, I remember every moment of that day, 9 years ago. I believe you are with me always my son <3 <3

It has been 8 years and still I have a piece of my heart missing. Every year on this day especially, I wear the tear drops... I will always and forever miss you, my lil guy. RIP <3 <3

It's amazing how fast 7 years can come and go... I since have a little boy, your little brother, who will be 4 soon and I couldn't be happier with how gentle and well mannered he has become. You would be proud. I sometimes think of you when I hold him and stare at his innocent and precious little face. You will always have a special place in my heart lil guy and I will always love you.

Dear Sweet Little Michael: Today is father's day and I wanted to write you a little note to tell you a little bit about your daddy. He misses you so very much, just as we do. Even though you aren't right here with us in body, we hold you so close ~ so warm within our hearts. Your daddy is a wonderful man who loves you with every bit of his heart. He thinks of you all the time and the peace he has is knowing that he will hold you again one day. He is such a hard worker, and most of all, such a good man - with a heart bigger than the moon and the sun! He is an honest and truthful man, a father you can be so very proud of ~ just as we are. You have a new little cousin, Lilly Rose and We cant wait to tell her about you ~ our precious little angel. We love you honey and we'll be together again soon. I simply cant wait to hold you.

Dear Tim: Speaking on behalf of our family, how can we find the words to thank you for your compassion and caring that you have shown our family during the recent loss of our sweet little grandbaby, Michael James? You went out of your way to cradle our family in our time of grief, and that is something far beyond your professional duty. We have dealt with funeral homes in the past, as we lost other loved ones and never, have we experienced the individual care and thoughtfulness you have shown our family. The way you genuinely care bout Michael and Christin, and helped them through the most difficult time of their lives, is just something that can never be repaid. I am sorry for your loss. I have felt this same pain myself and my prayers go out to both of you. When going through this with my son's, son I read a short sweet prayer that made me smile :)

One Little Candle for One Little Angel
I lit a candle tonight in honor of you. Such a small little light the candle made. Until I realized how much in darkness it lit the way.
You touched my heart the moment I saw your little face.
God had sent you to us for only a short but graceful phase.
Your Mommy and Daddy did the best job that they could do.
Keeping you safe while living in the womb.
I know in my heart their job was complete.
Then God called you back home to play at his feet.

No words can express the sorrow we feel over the loss of Baby Michael. We pray that you both can remain strong. With every gain there is loss, and in every loss there is gain. Our loss has been very heartbreaking, but we have gained Love and closeness within our family and our friends. We may never understand why,... but we do understand that God needed an Angel and called Baby Michael home. Baby Michael will always be in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers.
